Rastus burst into the show ring at the Garrad County Fair's IBGA sanctioned show (June 2006) and took first in his class, Grand Champion Yearling Buck and Overall Grand Champion Buck. Rastus continued his success in the show ring by winning Overall Grand Champion three more times at the Madison County Fair, the Mercer County Fair's Kentucky Bred Show, and the Mountain Pride Goat Show. Rastus was also Overall Reserve Grand Champion at the Mercer County Fair IBGA sanctioned show.

Rastus, a product of the breeding program at Watts Farm, is full South African. His pedigree is packed with superior genetics including DSM Cloud Dancing *Bronze Platinum*, Chakata *Bronze*, Bodacious Bubezi *Ennobled Platinum*, TND Leroy *Gold*, Ram H Tobias *Ennobled Platinum*, Kaptein *Ennobled Platinum*, RDR Kangus *Bronze* and NSA's Master Suemo's *Bronze*.
