CH *B Goldthwaite Intrepid
was sold as a youngster to a breeder who fell in love with his dam, SGCH
Goldthwaite Talapoosa 7*M 5-07 91 (EVEE), the day she won Best Doe-In-Show at
the Wyoming State Fair. Talapoosa not only went on to be Linear Appraised at
FS91 (VEEE), but became an ADGA Top Ten Doe. She also was able to reproduce
herself in her lovely daughter, SGCH Goldthwaite Ambrosia 8*M 4-03 91 (EEEE). In
addition to this lovely maternal sister, Intrepid has a paternal sister also
sired by SG ++*B Goldthwaite Johan S Buch, SGCH Goldthwaite Lady Johanna FS90 (a
littermate to our Spotlight Sale Buck, Goldthwaite Johannus). His full
littermate sister, Intrigue, was sent to the East Coast as a kid. When she
freshened, I immediately received a call from her owner, a 30 year plus veteran
of breeding fine Nubians, with the comment that she had the best udder she had
ever freshened! Unfortunately she is not in a herd that is still active in the
show circuit.
We had the good fortune of getting Intrepid back when his then owner underwent a
herd dispersal. His kids born to us have all been very nice, long, level and
correct. This fall we have almost all our best SGCH and older brood does bred to
him, and will definitely be keeping a collection of his daughters. We are only
offering him at this time as he is such a beautiful, dairy, correct buck with a
stellar pedigree and we would like help in proving him out. Intrepid has been
tested G6S normal! ~ Beverly Goldthwaite
