Rhenegade qualified for the Young Sire Development program due to his outstanding lineage. He is double bred on the super strong, +*B Marshland Regal/J Starbuck 5-03 92 (VEE), on both his sire's and his dam's sire. That strength and consistency were evident in his first 2008 daughters; Dry Creek Acres Krystyl, Dry Creek Acres Lylly and Dry Creek Acres Ralleye, all of whom easily earned their dry legs. Rhenegade's dam, CH Legendairy Starbuck Rhumba 2-05 90 (EVEE), was 1st place Two Year-Old at the 2007 ADGA National Show and the 2nd place Three Year-Old at the 2008 ADGA National Show, Best-Of-Breed at the 2008 Minnesota State Fair and the All-American Three Year-Old in 2008. 

Rhenegade's paternal sister, CH Legendairy Starbuck Rhone 3-06 90 (VEEE), has also done well on a national level placing 1st in her Two Year-Old class at the 2006 ADGA National Show, 1st place Three Year-Old at the 2007 ADGA National Show, and 2nd place Four Year-Old at the 2008 ADGA National Show. Rhone was also selected as the 2007 All-American Three Year-Old and the 2008 All-American as a four year-old. In 2006 she was the Senior Grand Champion at the Minnesota State Fair. Another paternal sister, Ru-Ridge Starbuck Trinity, is a 2008 ADGA Top Ten Breed Leader ranking #1 in Milk, #1 in Butterfat and #2 in Protein.
